Meet our survivor Lilly,
A 6 year old girl that has suffered a truly horrific life. She was a street dog that landed herself in a kill unit by the council where many dogs are placed in groups of 6-7 into 1 small kennel....all it takes is a few bossy dogs to pick out the weak and take all their food....sadly Lilly was the weaker one and was skinned alive by the other dogs (we will not be posting the graphic photos on her adoption post but can show them to adopters on request). She has been in the rescues care for a long time now and has totally healed with no future health implications.
Strangely, Lilly is very good with other dogs and can most definitely live with them, she is is submissive to them. Lilly is also a very calm dog and does not bark much. She was extremely shy and shut down when entering the shelter but has since come such a long long way. We would still call her a little hand shy and will most definitely require an adopter who will give her the time and patience to come out of her shell. Once she knows you she will run over for love and cuddles all day long.
She is 18kg and the fur on her back may never fully grow over.
The entire team would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see this girl outside a kennel and in a home of her own!
Please get in touch if you can help this girl find her happy ever after!
