Meet 2 year old Gweny, the matriarch of our cattery. Initially advertised with her son Steve but since being neutered has decided she now wants to enjoy her youth without her kids (don’t worry Steve Is going to a wonderful home with his kitten cousin Harry) .
Gwen came to us a frightened, pregnant stray that had been trapped by another rescue. We were initially a little worried about how we would safely handle her through her pregnancy but Gwen was so grateful to have been rescued she calmed herself right down very quickly and soon became an absolute cat babe. She successfully birthed 6 kittens, all of which are now in loving homes and now its her turn to find a family to love her.
Gwen is a sensitive, calm and gentle girl who has very clearly been through a lot in her short life. Not only is she kind but she is very grateful. She has mothered so many litters of her own and from others and now it’s her time to shine.
This lovely lady is still in a rescue environment so isn’t quite showing her full personality yet and is still on the shy side. In a home, we know this will change within a matter of days. She will currently sit on your lap for a stroke (if she knows you) and purrs away like a baby. She is good at being picked up and is fine at the vets etc.
Gwen needs a nice quiet home that can really put the time into her flourishing. We have absolutely no doubt at all that she is going to be the biggest cuddle monster. She is healthy, neutered, vaccinated and gets on well with other chilled out, calm cats. Gwen absolutely loves sunning herself outside so we will only accept home with cat flap access and not near any busy main roads.
