**Available to meet in Kent, Please share for these sad kitties**
Meet our golden oldies Keiko and Mila,
Both 12 year young and came In absolutely heart broken to have lost their owner to dementia. This calm, loving pair struggled so very badly coming into rescue. They lost everything they knew and were so depressed for a number of weeks. They have since settled down and are enjoying lots of fuss and cuddles from the staff but they are definitely feeling very lonely as our attention here is spread thin. They would be so very grateful to have a home of their own again, where they can finally take a sigh of relief without lots of noisy barking and lonely nights.
Both cats have been fully health checked, blood tested, neutered, vaccinated and chipped and have no health conditions/ are healthy cats. Mila (black cat) is over weight but is slowly losing weight. Keiko and Mila are two very different cats. Mila keeps herself to herself and you don’t even know she is there. She is not a lap cat but really enjoys sitting near you and having a stroke (she will purr away and is so very grateful), whereas Keiko is very confident, interactive and happy to be picked up and cuddled. They are a harmonious pair and aren’t very high maintenance. They do however need to get to know their owner a little before moving as this will. help them feel safer when they have to undergo another move. Anyone interested in adopting them we ask come and spend a little time with them before taking them home. Adopting these two will truly be rescuing a cat, they so badly need this for their mental health.
These cats do not deserve to sit alone in rescue for much longer and we would be so happy to see them find a place to call home. Although these guys are self sufficient, we would ideally like an adopter who is home a little more than the 9-5 ‘er to reassure them that they are safe and loved. Keiko and Mila require a home with outdoor access via a cat flap (as this is what they have been used to) and not near any busy. main roads. They have had a really hard time recently and have so much love to give so we would like a nice quieter home with no other pets or young children to minimise their stress.
In the right home these guys will be wonderful to have around, they just want to be loved and safe.
