In June 2025 we were made aware of a feral colony of over 40 living in a caravan site, being abused by some of the residents. Kittens being hit over the head with hammers, cats kicked etc. Although we couldn’t take all 40, we knew we had to try out best to help as many as we could.
Flori’s Friends helped 15 of these ferals. 8 were treated at the vets, neutered, vaccinated etc and sent to other rescues and the very worst ones we have in true Flori’s style kept on as they are far too traumatised to rush out the door. We expect these cats to be with us long term as they can truly take years to rehabilitate into pets. We don’t push these guys and we are giving them the free space to still live with their loved ones, be regularly fed, cared for and hopefully in time they will accept humans fully.
These cats are all FIV positive so require daily supplementation and also require specialist food as some have inflammatory bowel disease.
The boys in this colony that are available to sponsor as a whole are Tyson, Tyrone, Tony and Tommy. Your sponsorship will help us pay for their daily food, vitamins medical care, litter and treats.
This is a true special colony that nobody wanted to help and will forever be overlooked being black and very frightened so they serve the world.
