Say hello to the unbelievably handsome Darwin!
Darwin’s world was turned upside down when his beloved owner sadly passed away, leaving him alone in the home for several months. Naturally, we were concerned about how he would cope with such a huge change and the loss of the only home he had ever known.
Thankfully, Darwin surprised us all. Rather than being unsettled by his move into foster care, he seemed delighted to have company again and quickly settled into his new surroundings, making himself right at home from day one.
This charming gentleman is everything you could want in a companion cat. He loves curling up next to you on the sofa, sleeping at the foot of your bed, and making biscuits while enjoying a fuss. Wherever you go, Darwin goes! Darwin is a laid-back, affectionate chap who simply enjoys being around people and would make wonderful company for someone looking for a loyal feline friend.
At 9 years young, Darwin still has plenty of love to give. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and blood tested. He is a fairly independent cat and would be perfectly happy in a home where his owners go out to work, provided he has safe outdoor access via a cat flap.
As Darwin has never lived with other pets, we feel he would be happiest as the only animal in the home. Older, respectful children should be absolutely fine.
Darwin has lost everything he has ever known, yet he remains incredibly kind, trusting, and affectionate. We know that being an older cat, and not having the colouring that often catches people’s attention, may mean he gets overlooked. But those who meet him quickly realise what a truly special boy he is.
He is a little diamond who deserves a loving family to call his own once again.
Darwin is currently being fostered in Canterbury and is available to meet.
