Mouse and Munchkin – Kent

Interested in adopting?

We are looking for someone truly special to give these two beautiful girls the loving home they deserve.

Gorgeous Mouse and Munchkin have been with us for over six months. They first arrived as stray kittens who had clearly endured a very difficult start in life. Having had to fend for themselves, they were absolutely terrified of people. Despite everything they’ve been through, they have never shown any aggression, only gentle, sweet natures hidden behind their fear.

We have spent months helping them learn that people can be kind, and they have come such a long way. While they are still shy and would benefit from an experienced, patient adopter, the progress they’ve made has been incredible.

These girls are intelligent, playful, and endlessly curious. We truly believe they would thrive in a calm, loving home where they can build confidence at their own pace. Both Mouse and Munchkin now enjoy being stroked, although they can still be a little skittish. They simply need someone who understands that trust takes time. Once they feel safe, they are affectionate little cats who love fuss, playtime, and spending time with their favourite people.

They both adore basking in the sunshine and watching the birds, so they will need a home with either a secure catio, a ProtectaPet style enclosed garden, or safe outdoor access via a cat flap away from any busy or main roads.

Whoever adopts these girls will truly get back everything they put in. Sadly, they have been overlooked for far too long because many people are searching for a “ready-made” cat. Mouse and Munchkin have never had that chance, but we know that with patience, kindness, and understanding, they will become wonderful companions.

Both girls are around one year old, healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and ready to find their forever home.

They are calicivirus carriers. This has no impact on their future health, as they have already had the dental treatment needed to manage the condition. However, it does mean they cannot live with cats that are not also calicivirus carriers. Please don’t let this put you off, it’s a very minor condition that rarely causes any ongoing problems, doesn’t need medicating that most ex stray cats have, and these girls can expect to live long, happy, healthy lives.

If you think you could be the patient, loving person these special girls have been waiting for, we would love to hear from you. If anyone is worried about the Calichi we will pop it in the contract that if anything arises (we are sure it won’t), we will cover the cost.

please get in touch if you would like to come and view these special girls. We are so sad to see them stuck in rescue for this long.
