Remember the little cutie that is Max who came to us Summer 2024?
Sadly, Max is still in the rescue system after having tried two homes with us and multiple others before he entered rescue ☹️
We thought we were taking on a dog who just needed a little guidance and training but sadly we were very wrong. Poor little Max has been let down by so many humans in his life, he now really struggles to live life like a normal dog.
This lovely chap is 8 years young and such a lovely dog, full of fun and affection, but it is now apparent that he struggles to cope in certain situations. His behaviour has meant that despite two attempts at rehoming since the summer, he has been returned to us both times. Since being with us Max has had over £8000 pounds of veterinary investigations and treatment to get him into good health. Since arriving to us he has also been in £500 a week paid intense training. We now urgently need sponsors to help support his continued journey at Floris: his training and his ongoing care, giving him the very best chance at a happy future. Most people would have given up on Max by now, which is why we were the only charity that would take him. Even his trainers have days where they are pulling their hair out trying to understand his outbursts and lack of progress. But the Flori’s team won’t give up on him, however we do need your help. Please consider sponsoring Max. Even when he is ready to go out to a home it won’t be an adoption given how special the home will need to be but it will be a “long term” foster where the rescue will continue to cover all of his costs. Max will be in the system for life but hopefully one day he will able to cope enough to move into foster.
