Tracey & Tanya – Kent

Interested in adopting?

As many of you know we took in a very large colony of stray cats this year. All were unbelievably frightened and shut down. We have worked harder than you will ever know to get them to trust humans and we have made such good progress we feel these two girls are now ready for a real home and to experience the true love and devotion a cat should have.

These two girls are incredibly special girls. The life they have led has been nothing short of awful and they have come out the other end playful, loving and very gentle and kind to all. If you are thinking of truly making a difference to a rescue animal these two are the ones for you. We know they are going to be very difficult to home but we also know where is a special someone out there with a heart of gold, just like them.

Our two Ts are generally still very shy cats but once they know you they are just wonderful. Tanya (tabby, 3 years old), is really playful and adores having a little play session (please check out the video). She also enjoys a little cuddle and is very food obsessed and will do pretty much anything she can for some chicken! Tracey is a little more reserved and has always been pushed to the back by the other cats in the colony. She would really really benefit from 1-2-1. Tracey (black, 1 year old) has never even hissed at anyone, she has just kept herself to herself at the back but does really enjoy to be petted and actually is the least shy of them all. Both cats are well adjusted to other cats and have accepted every single cat we have put in their cattery with open arms and a gentle heart. They are bombproof with other cats and would slot really well into a multi-cat home.

We would love to see them in an experienced, quiet home with no children that understands shy cats take time to come round and need gentle touch and patience. These girls have come as far as they can in rescue and we feel the next step to help them flourish even more is a real home where they can be part of someone’s day to day life. An adopter will get so much from these cats, they truly make you feel so accomplished once they trust you and start relaxing. It is honestly a joy to watch and to know you have been a part of that change.

Both cats are healthy, blood tested, chipped, FIV negative, vaccinated and neutered. Both are litter trained and non destructive. They will definitely require outdoor access via a catflap or a safe catio /enclosed garden. They are used to that here and it would not be fair to force them to be house cats now.

We know that this is a long shot but please consider these two beauties. If you can’t adopt please share, every share improves their chances at a forever home. Both girls are available to spend time with in Chartham Hatch.
