Meet 5 year old Daisy

A wonderful, loving, we socialised girl who’s owner can no longer give her what she needs since recently being diagnosed with Epilepsy (it’s very mild so please don’t click off this advert because of it). We have until June to find her a new family and then Daisy will have to go back to shared kennels which she will really struggle in. We would happily accept a foster space for Daisy too whilst we search for her forever family. We are all unbelievably sad that Daisy has now lost her home and everything she knows.

Daisy is a very soft, happy and friendly dog, tactile and loves cuddles and playing, sometimes can get a bit nippy when super excited but stops when told, takes instruction well and is very sweet, gentle and placid by nature. She has never shown any aggression at all to anything or anyone and is awesome to snuggle up on the sofa with. She is good with being picked up and loves belly rubs, sniffle mats are her favourite and she loves being outside, sniffing and exploring. She mixes well with other dogs and even cats and often wants to say hello to cats on walks and seems a bit confused as to why they don’t want to say hello to her. We would prefer to see Daisy in a home with another dog for company if possible. Daisy is a little wary of men when she first meets them but soon comes round. She is perfect for taking on adventures, days out and holidays.

This lovely girl is housetrained and good with kids, just because she can be nippy when she gets super playful we would like her in a home with older children, otherwise an all round good family dog and other animals. She LOVES company and would ideally be suited to a house with either more than 1 person or 1 other animal.

She has epilepsy which is managed two ways, with medication 1 tablet twice a day in her food – and not long hours on her own.  She is not going to be suited to someone working away most of the time, she really needs someone who is home more often than not. When these two things are in place she rarely has a fit, it’s extremely manageable. Daisy is best to not be left alone for more than 3 hours at home IF completely alone as it can impact a fit. With the company of another dog or person her epilepsy rarely rears its head after she is left. Int e right home Daisy’s fits should be very few and far between. Her medications are not expensive – £13 a month and there is an optional liver supplement of £5 a month to add in.

She is a lazy daisy in the mornings, usually starts to move around about 7/8am and does a wee in the garden (sometimes has to be taken out there to go).

Daisy is just the best little dog and we really hope her very mild epilepsy will not put anyone off having her, she really will offer a home SO much joy and love and is well worth coming to meet. She is still with her owner as we have no space for her in kennels yet.
