Meet 8 year old Max, a wonderful Beddlington Terrier that has been passed around from pillar to post for his ENTIRE life and then ended up on the euthanasia list at the vets for nipping. We are so worried Max is never going to get his happy ever after as people just seem to want the perfect pooch all the time and dogs like Max just get overlooked immediately and end up in kennels for the rest of their lives.
Max is looking for a COMMITTED owner that understands he is not perfect and there is some work to be done but also sees the absolutely amazing boy he is with a heart full of love and a past that’s made him stronger. He has had his share of challenges but in the right home he can become the perfect dog you have been looking for.
This handsome chap is looking for a quiet home where someone is around a lot, he is not overly keen on being alone for super long periods of time and is a real love bug so would like to have someone around for all the fuss and attention. Although Max gets along well with some dogs on walks we don’t think he would be suited to a multi dog home as he can get a bit jealous if he is not getting all the fuss. If you are a looking for an off lead boy to run around in a multi dog dog park Max is not the one for you. He is much better suited to someone who likes a 1-2-1 cross country hike or a stroll through the woods and isn’t going to have a meltdown if he doesn’t like every single dog he meets. He is a fit and healthy boy so would really love a home that enjoys walking. Max has a tendency to get possessive if visitors enter the home but this is so easily solved and has already worked (and is improving) with is current training plan so any adopter will just need to follow his visitor rules (they are very simple and not life destroying).
Max knows all of his basic commands and is super obedient, he isn’t destructive and is house trained and neutered.. He can live with children over 12 and is not cat tested.
This fella truly has the potential to be a cuddly lap dog and a loyal companion and is looking for someone who can offer him stability (after 8 years of having none). In return, Max will fill your life with joy, companionship and lots of laughs.
Max has a training plan in place with his kennel trainer, where he currently lives and any adopters will get FREE LIFETIME training from his trainer face to face and one the phone to ensure he continues to progress. We are looking for an experienced owner for Max who understands his needs and is willing to work with his trainer to address any issues as they arise and nip them straight in the bud. A patient and understanding owner will get an absolutely cracking dog out of Max.
