Meet our 12 year old, golden oldie Mila,

She came in with her brother Keiko after they lost their owner to dementia. Mila’s little world crumbled into a million pieces and she really struggled to adjust to living at a busy rescue. After a few weeks we noticed both cats didn’t seem too happy. We set up a camera in their cattery to watch them and see why it was taking them so long to settle down and what we discovered was they in fact do not get along! We have since separated them and both cats are miles happier. Mila is now in our free roam cattery with lots of other cats and is really coming out of her shell

Mila is the lowest maintenance cat you will ever meet. She requires absolutely nothing other than a warm bed, food and a nice cuddle on the sofa. She is the true meaning of a gold oldie. This girl is a total lap cat once she feels safe and settled and is just SO grateful to have company. She isn’t into toys but does love a good spritz of catnip! She can live with other super laid back cats and children over 7!

As you can see from the photos Mila is a little rotund and is on a weight loss journey but has been fully blood tested and health checked and is as healthy as anything. She is also neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. She would really love a home with outdoor access via a catflap as this is what she has been used to. We would also accept catios for mila. Rescuing a golden oldie is such a special thing to do and we really hope there is someone out there for Mila, she doesn’t deserve to spend her golden years in a cattery.

She is available to meet in Chartham Hatch, Kent. Please get in touch via the website if you can offer Mila a loving home.
