Say hello to 3 year old Pinto,
The cattery clown at the rescue. Pinto arrived to us shut down, shaking and facing the wall. Our hearts broke for this handsome boy and we never thought he would turn into such a goofball that makes everyone laugh. His nickname is ‘touch me don’t touch me’ because he’s so affectionate and rubs himself all over you, climbs on your lap but still isn’t 100% reliable at being stroked without you getting a bat round the hand. We have absolutely no doubt that in a forever home, with time, this will totally stop as his improvements here are massive each and every day. If you want a cat to make you smile and laugh, this curious cat is the one for you. He has a zest for life that we haven’t seen in a very long time and his quirky ways will truly be missed when he finds his forever home.
Pinto lives well with other cats. After gentle introductions he is kind and playful with them.We thought he needed an experience home but he really doesn’t, he just needs someone with patience who is going to let him learn about companion life at his own pace. He isn’t a nasty boy and being petted has been so alien to him in the past it just takes time for him to learn. The want to be petted is there and each day that desire grows, so it won’t be long until he is a full on lap cat. Pinto will need some time to acclimatise to moving to a new home so adopters need to be patient and allow him time to hide for a couple of days.
Adopters for Pinto must have either a catio or cat flap access and not near any busy main roads as this chap loves bird watching in the great outdoors. Kids over 12 are fine for Pinto.
He is one of our longest residents at the moment so we think it’s time he now moves onto his final chapter.
He is available to meet in Chartham Hatch and is healthy boy.
