Say hello to one year old Sylvie,
A complete beauty queen who has had a turbulent start in life. She came from a busy household with kids that have likely mishandled her. The family was then evicted from their home and Sylvie was placed outside a lot. There has been a lot of confusion in this little ladies life so we are now looking for a relaxed, quiet, childfree home for her (teenagers are fine). Syvlie has settled down very well and is a very laid back, loving cat who is happy for affection. We initially wrote an advert for her that said she wanted petting on her own terms, but the behaviour has since stopped. We have come to realise this was just nerves being in a new environment and around new people. She has now settled right down into foster and actually just become a chilled out, affectionate kitty. Anyone visiting Sylvie with a view to adopt will just need to be mindful that she is a little unsure of being over petted by new people. IN a new home after a couple of weeks she will be a perfect little lap cat.
We suspect she has been pulled around a fair bit and maybe dragged out of small spaces for petting, so adopters will need to be mindful of this and not force her out of any small spaces to pet her. She is really happy to sit near you for company and does come for fuss and is generally a good little companion to have around. Sylvie is a very kind, caring little girl.
We would prefer this lovely girl to be the only cat whilst she learns to live life to the full again (unless you are very experienced with integrating cats we would rather not have another stressor added to her life). Anyone adopting Sylive is truly going to get a wonderful cat, she has SO much to give and just needs that little bit of time. Please get in touch if you have cat-flap access and lots of love to give to a girl that has had a really bad start in life.
We really hope there is a lovely home out there for our wonderful girl.
