Meet one-year-old Nellie.

Nellie was shot and left to die while her body was still producing milk for the puppies she loved. Her babies were never found. Alone, injured, and in unimaginable pain, she was simply left behind.

When we saw Nellie’s video, we couldn’t turn away. Despite everything that had been done to her, she was still alive. Still fighting. We knew we had to try.

After months of planning, Nellie is finally here—safe at last. For the first time since her nightmare began, she can rest, knowing she is no longer alone.

She arrived paralysed, dangerously underweight, and with the tips of her ears burned away by the sun as she lay helpless. Yet somehow, this broken little body holds the strongest spirit. Nellie is gentle, trusting, and unbelievably brave.

Her road to recovery is long and costly. She needs surgery, X-rays, physiotherapy, a wheelchair, pain relief, medication, food, pyjamas, and nappies—everything she was once denied.

If you are able to sponsor Nellie’s rehabilitation, you won’t just be helping with her medical care—you will be giving her comfort, dignity, and the chance to know kindness again.

Thank you for standing with Nellie. Thank you for choosing compassion 🤍🐾
